In 1981 Ellen & Leon Bernard of Lima donated property to serve as a permanent site for the camp and construction was begun. The first camping program at the current location was held that same summer.

Over the years many people have helped to build the camp ministry. For many years the camp operated for 2 weeks in the summer; one week for elementary students and one week for junior and senior high students.

In the fall of 1998, Dale & Jill Stewart moved from Michigan to serve as the first full time Camp Directors. Many improvements were able to be completed to the buildings, allowing the camp to be available for use throughout the year. The camp now runs between 3 and 5 weeks of programs in the summer as well as serving as a resource for local churches and community groups throughout the year.
